The Battery Shed is shows as the white window to the right of the image. The entrance is a door to the right side of building. The shutter portal to the left is the old sawmill. It is located in the North Cottage complex of buildings and is a pretty new addition. It is suggested that the sawmill and associated sheds were built in the early 20th century.

This shed was used to keep all the garden tools during the 1970s to mid 1990s when the walled garden was in regular use. Now it is just used as storage and rarely used.

The battery shed got its name as it used to house battery cells and an accumulator for the engine shed. It is not know how much power was created, but the dynamo in the engine shed would have recharged the batteries. There are still some concrete mountings on the floor but nothing else remains.
