Between the Construction Road and Old Road is the Sheep Dip which  has been in existence since the 1800s. A Sheep Dip is hole in the ground that is filled with water and a liquid formulation of insecticide and fungicide which farmers use to protect their sheep from infestation against external parasites such as itch mite, ticks and lice.

The sheep are herded into a pen then one by one they are plunged into the hole head first and once fully submerged they climb out and into a holding area where they are then released back into their fields.
