Power Stations
In 1956 the goverment of the time decided that Scotland required more power stations and compulsory bought 160 acres of land and a long public enquiry ensued. Shortly after this in 1957 work began constructing Hunterston A which began operation in 1964. A few years later in 1967 the next station was on its way and it started operation in 1976.
