Oilrig Road
The Oilrig Road passes through Hunterston splitting several fields and Largs Avenue in two, it starts at the Hunterston Roundabout and travels out into the middle of the River Clyde where it terminates on the construction yard. It is called the Oilrig Road as the yard was purpose built to build Oilrigs.

There used to be a Bailey Bridge that crossed the Power station access road but was removed by Clydeport in late 1990s, unfortunately Clydeport refuse to provide me with any images of the bridge, so if anyone has any pictures please get in touch.

More indepth and detailed information on the Oilrig can be found by clicking here
