Main Hall
The Main Hall is a 17th century extention to the castle and includes a large fireplace. Access to this part of the castle is via a new set of sandstone spiral staircase built into an adition at the side of the castle. Before the new attic was built the height of the Main Hall would have been higher to the roof.

The floors would have once had rushes as a floor covering and once they needed replaced or other rubbish requiring throwing away everything was put onto the floor and pushed down a small chute on the wall which would have went to the moat below.
