Lower Garden
The Lower Garden gets its name as it is a garden and it is lower then the main walled garden. This garden was located in part of a field below upper and lower cottages and was used by the people living in those cottages.
While growing up this was my families main garden for our use only and it also had a hut for my hens and was also a storage for large logs that were used for the coal fires we had at the time.
The garden area still exists today but has not been used in over 18 years.
